Gecko Speak.

In my country, some boys (XY) like to get a girls (XX) attention by making a gecko kind of sound; basically by pursing your lips into a kissing position and inhaling throught the mouth. I HATE THAT! We don't speak gecko and neither are we dogs so if you want to get our attention just stick to the human language and say hi or a smile will do. Right girls?

    I know I know! It happens around here too last time. Not so much nowadays but it is sooooo yucky! Major turn off, isn't it ?

    That mostly happen when they are a group of guys gather together when they see pretty gal walk past. They just want to give them the attention but hardly really wanting any much response. I know it can be rather offensive to gals but guys will be guys at that age group.

    yeah...it's annoyed when someone making the sound. especially for those want to take liberties with a girl or get the girls attention. Instead, this only will lower their own. =)

    LOL... especially a certain age group. I don't really like that sound too.

    Maybe next time I should try the direct approach, and suddenly in the middle of people then, "Hey sexy girl from Kuala la la lumpur" That should get the attention I needed

    yes. It's so damn annoying AND embarrassing. but as they get older, the will outgrow that. don't worry, there is still a chance that one of them would turn out good XD

    I believe it is spelled "rebuttal" with 2 't's.

    boys mature so much slower than girls, and some never mature at all throughout their entire natural life. while it is stupid, that annoying gesture will never go away. don't let it bug you. it makes them look stupid anyway :)

    i am happy to report that i have never done that - because i'm not able to do it properly and loudly, haha

    I don't like that sound either and I'm a guy! :) Lol.

    I always felt that by doing that you're on the verge of chasing the girl away rather than knowing her better. Why not be a man and approach the girl just to say hi! A hie won't get you turned down.
